Makar Sankranti marks the beginning of a new year in the Hindu calendar and is celebrated across the country with much gusto and enthusiasm. The concept of gated community living essentially encapsulates the festivities of all the residents, allowing children and adults alike to indulge in merriment and soak in the traditions and rituals of varied cultures.
At Rustomjee Paramount and Rustomjee Elements the energy was palpable as residents, prospective home buyers and families got together to enjoy the Makar Sankranti celebrations.
The Alfresco Sky Lounge at Rustomjee Paramount saw over a hundred takers for the traditional kite flying, with some even indulging in some friendly ‘kite fights’. The sky above Paramount was dotted with colourful kites. Even the little kids who had never had the opportunity before were assisted by members of the Rustomjee team and it was amazing to watch their enthusiasm and joy as their kites soared into the sky.
At Rustomjee Elements too, there were almost 200 people who had gathered to welcome in the new year to the traditional Bhangra beat, even as Bhangra dancers set the mood and got everyone going ‘bale bale’! There was a ‘mela’ atmosphere with a kite ‘bazaar’ also organized and everyone present, irrespective of their kite flying skills, took a turn at this traditional way of celebrating Makar Sankranti.
Adding to the feeling of being at a ‘mela’ there was a bangle maker and a tarot card reader at the event, who had the guests queuing up enthusiastically. The food and drinks flowed through the event and kept spirits high!
This is just another way in which Rustomjee brings to the fore the ‘My Space’ concept at Rustomjee Paramount and Elements – the opportunity, space and time to follow new pursuits and rekindle old hobbies in the pleasant company of friends and family. After all, what’s life without a little space for yourself?
