Rustomjee Group recently held a photography exhibition by communications professional Rahul daCunha (of Amul fame) and Art Guru, Prashant Godbole at The Lifestyle Gallery,Rustomjee Seasons in Bandra Kurla Complex. Unveiled on 4th August, 2017, the exhibition showcased the entire collection of over 100 photographs on 4th, 5th and 6th of August, capturing vignettes of everyday life for the public at large. In tune with the concept of ‘My Space’ by Rustomjee, this exclusive evening showcased the photographers’ penchant for street photography. The photographs captured moments spontaneously as they occur in real time as well as articulated the need for people to stay aligned with their passion and hobbies in life.
The event was attended by the who’s who of the theatre and art fraternity like Kunal Vijaykar, Rajit Kapoor, Atul Kasbekar, Ram Madhvani, Tariq Ansari and Shernaz Patel to name a few. Taking pride in the opportunity to showcase such rare vignettes captured by Rahul and Prashant, Mr.Percy Chowdhry, Director, Rustomjee Group said, “It is a privilege to encourage individuals to pursue their interests and are happy to be a part of an artistic endeavor that displayed passion for photography, and everyday inspiration for My Spaces. We often yearn to follow our passions that we used to once nurture long back, before the hectic pace of our professions left no time (or space) for them. Like the luxury of reading a book, hitting the gym, holding the brush and infusing life in a canvass, or re-connecting with the shutterbug inside us. At Rustomjee, we understand the significance of passion and interests and put in efforts to make meaningful space for them in our day to day life.”
The whole expression of ‘My Spaces’ fits like a glove for a passion like photography. Photography possibly is one of the most intimate expressions of one’s own space and this project helped bring together many photos and images that were long forgotten by the artists.
‘My Space’ is not just about ‘Space’ – it is a concept that makes room for inspiration, and therefore adds the individuated ‘me’ to the spaces. A concept that weaves together all the amenities within a real estate project that inspires individuals to pursue their hobbies, make space for friends, family and more. Amenities are just spaces, and any developer can offer those. What Rustomjee does, is to give inspiration with these spaces. We are creating spaces that not many have thought of, the performance deck, for example is a great way of reliving your college band days, of singing or playing a musical instrument for an intimate audience. The ballroom again, is a time to take up salsa or a classical dance form like waltz or foxtrot. The aqua-gym is designed to get you inspired for your daily work out.
Rustomjee has carved a niche for itself in the ever-growing real estate sector, with a portfolio that includes 12.5 million square feet of completed projects; 15 million square feet of ongoing development and another 30 million square feet of planned development in the pipeline, spanning across the best locations of Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). Their portfolio currently includes two very large townships, residential spaces, office complexes, retail developments, spaces for healthcare and education spread across BKC Annex, Khar, Off Juhu Circle, Kandivali, Borivali, Virar and Thane.
Rustomjee lays emphasis on adding value to the lives of their homeowners through their core business, their CSR initiatives and philanthropy.
